Product description

  • A convenient complete sets for percutaneous placement of drainage catheter – Pigtail design, Malecote design, Re-entry nephrostomy catheter (malecote design with uretral stent extension), Pigtail with String lock (for better anchoring).
  • All nephrostomy catheters are single lumen, for adult or pediatric use, 4-24 Fr diameter sizes and 30 cm length (more length optionaly).
  • Catheters are made with soft polyurethane and provides superior biocompatibility and drainage.
  • Catheters highly radiopaque for precise placement.
  • All sets supplied with the necessary and optional items that adapted to each other to facilitate usage and material secure positioning like: dilatators, needles, guide wire, drainage bag connector.
  • All kits comes with PTFE J-tip 100 cm guide wire with nitinol core provides easy flexibility and anti break advantages (the lunderquist wire is also available as an option).

  • Individually packed in medical grade paper poly pouch.

Malecot Type Nephrostomy Catheter Sets

Malecot (tulip-shaped) catheter — the catheter tip retracts slightly so that the tulip portion is larger than the tube diameter. These catheters are mainly used when the renal pelvis is small (because the patient is small) or when a large stag horn calculus is present.

One step Nephrostomy Catheter Sets

When this set is used the nephrostomy catheter (Malecot or Pigtail) can be applied in one step together with the puncture. Therefore this is the fastest way to apply a nephrostomy. Cannula, obturator and catheter can be arrested by Luer-Lock adapters.

String lock Nephrostomy Catheter Sets

The safety string lock system provides secure placement for nephrostomy drainage to avoid slipping of the catheter to outside. It is the same design for our Nephrostomy catheter range above but has different hub. The hub is designed to serve locking mechanism.
